21 and over 🥂

Everyone always said to me that after 21 I wouldn't like drinking the same. They said it's not as fun when it's legal. Well let me tell you how that first legal sip of alcohol felt; it felt fantastic. I felt in top of the world. As a teenager who snuck drinks or whatever I could get my hands on I was always scared of getting caught. We all were. The thing is though that I no longer have to worry so I feel completely relieved. Every minute of this first week being 21 has been great. I've bought beer just because I can. I wouldn't say that I'm overly excited about being able to buy alcohol, I don't really drink that much; but it feels so comfortable to be able to do it. It feels great to no longer ask someone else hoping neither of us would get in trouble. I can be buying groceries and just grab that bottle of wine that's on sale. I can order those frilly drinks at dinner instead of asking someone else to order it and drink it behind the waiters back. So I agree that drinking is not the same after reaching 21, it's better.
